What is Cretin Creations?

I started my costuming journey in 2014 when I first attended Phoenix Comicon, now known as Phoenix Fan Fusion. I had thrown together an Ash Ketchum cosplay from things I had in my closet and a hat and glove set I had found online.  The wig was awful and the cosplay bore just enough resemblance to the character to be identifiable.  It was awful but I loved it.  Comicon became something I looked forward to each year and what new cosplay I would try would always be on the forefront of my mind.  Around 2017 I found myself working toward a degree I was less than in love with and decided to make a change and follow the path that brought me the most joy.  This brought me to The Art Institute of Phoenix to pursue a degree in Fashion Design, focusing mostly on costuming.  I finally felt I was where I belonged and when their unfortunate closure came before my degree was finished, I started over and picked up at Arizona State University where my love of costuming was now joined by my newly blooming love of fashion.  I graduated Arizona State in 2023 and quickly started an Apprenticeship at The Phoenix Theatre Company where I honed my skills as a stitcher.  Following my apprenticeship I returned to ASU to teach and help others find their love for this craft that has done so much for me.  I am now embarking on this journey and am excited and grateful that you have found yourself on my website and look forward to working with you!
